Senselessly killed by a drunk driver

Left - Jason Roberts - Middle - Rosalie Roberts - Right - Chad Roberts

Front - Jeremy Roberts

Rose Roberts had gone school shopping with her youngest son Chad. She was a loving wife and mother of 3 sons. She should of had many years left ahead of her yet. But, on her return home from school shopping with her son that day her life was tragically and needlessly cut short. One man and his drunken passenger had not given any thought to her or anyone else that day. They had been drinking and had already been reported for erratic driving when they struck Rose's vehicle head on and killed her instantly. Her young son Chad now must carry with him the memories of that day for the rest of his life.

Rose Roberts didn't deserve to die that day. And, she defineltly didn't deserve to die that way. She was a hard working Christian woman that loved her family and enjoyed life. Rose had loving parents who never should have had to see their little girl buried. The Roberts and the Walls were a close nit family. One of their most recent joyous memories and times together was at the wedding of Kenny and Rose's son , Jason, to his beautiful bride Natasha. That was one of the happiest days of Rose's life. Rose welcomed her sons new bride and was looking forward to having a daughter in her life. Jeremy and Chad will never be able to bring their mom that joy. None of the boys will ever get the chance to make her a grandmother. They won't have her there to guide them and love them through the rest of their days. Clinton & Grethel Walls will never have their daughter to hug again. Kenny Roberts won't be able to wake up each day with Rose by his side. An entire family is now torn apart. The selfish act of a drunk driver has changed a once close loving family into a family now riddled with grief.

Drunk Driving is one of the most selfish crimes anyone can ever commit. There is not a single acceptible reason for such an act to ever take place. Drunk Driving is not just another accident. It is a violent senseless crime inflicted on innocent people who didn't deserve to die. Rose Roberts is a statistic now. She's counted among the thousands killed each year by this horrific crime. Rose isn't a statistic to her family though! She was a vital, loving, living, breathing part of their lives that will be mourned and missed forever more.

A Gentle Rose

by Tim Chambers

What bell does toll the passing of a child

A life so young so pure...unreconciled

That death should grasp her now without remorse

Just as her life sets sail it's rocky course

Come Terpsichore and sing your song and dance

And curse the evil Thalanto whos lance

Strikes deep within the mourners grieving soul

Rise up I pray, her life I do extol

A gentle rose who's beauty graced this earth

A loving soul so caring, full of mirth

I beg of thee, no songs of sorrow weep

But shout our hymns of praise, so all might keep

Her in our hearts for e'er, for we have known

A gentle rose, that God now calls his own.

Wings Of The Angel

by Tim Chambers

A gengle wind blew cross the land

Reaching out to take a hand

For on the winds the angels came

Calling out a mother's name...

Left behind, the children's tears

Loving memories of the years

Of joy and love, a life well spent

And now to God a mother's sent.

On angel's wings, a heavenly flight

The journey home, towards the light

To those who weep, a life is gone

But in God's love, 'tis but the dawn.
