Toxicology Report

R.L Abernethy, toxicologist for the Los Angeles County coroner, began his laboratory examination at 8:30 am Monday, August 6 and he quickly concluded

that Marilyn Monroe's death was due to a massive overdose of barbiturates. The test showed 4.5 milligrams percentage of Pentobarbital and 8.0 milligrams percentage of chloral hydrate

in the bloodstream. In addition, the liver contained 13 milligrams percentage pentobarbital --

*an abnormally large concentration. Pentobarbital is product marketed as “Nembutal”.Chloral hydrate, sometimes referred to as 'knockout drops” or “Mickey Finn” is a highly potent sedative hypnotic that quickly renders a person unconscious.

The Autopsy report was written Noguchi wrote: The facts indicate that Monroe's body was found in a room locked from the inside. No hypodermic needle was found, Correlating the forensic evidence with the circumstances filed in the police report, Noguchi concluded that the cause of death was “Suicide” writing besides it the word ” probable”

Noguchi had clearly requested reports on the kidney, stomach, urine, and intestine, as well. Examination of these specimen would have revealed how the Barbiturate had entered Monroe's system. But the limited toxicology report contained no analysis of these specimens. When Noguchi * asked again for this reports on the kidney, urine, stomach, and intestine, he was amazed to find that the samples he and Miner had taken had mysteriously vanished.

Miner observed:

”In the entire history of the L. A County coroner's office there had never been a previous instance organ samples vanishing.”

Something to think about is that the specimens disappeared from the toxicology laboratory established by Abernethy at the UCLA school of Medicine, where GREENSON was an eminent member of the faculty. When questioned, Abernethy refused to discuss what ever happened to the vanished specimens.

As limited as the report was in 1962 , computerized information banks available to the world of forensic medicine in the 1990s allows us to see unanswered questions of decades ago.

The forensic medicine establishes that there is no case on record of a fatal dose by oral ingestion involving such HIGH concentration in the blood of both “Pentobarbital” and “Chloral hydrate” the victim inevitably dies before the fatal concentration can approach such a high blood level. Monroe would have been dead before even reaching 35% of the total barbiturates had been absorbed from the digestive track into her bloodstream. It is not possible that the remanning 65% To be absorbed by the digestive track, vanished without a trace, because when the heart stops beating, the blood stops circulating, and the bodily functions shut down. This amount of drugs can “not 'have entered the bloodstream by ingestion, suppository, enema infusion, or any other way.

So how did she died? It could only have been by needle injection.

Well the modern world of forensic medicine gives the final verdict Marilyn Monroe was a homicide victim.
