Bright Angel
Chapter 21

Taylor: As I held her in my arms, I looked into her soft blue eyes. “So what’s in the agenda for today,” she asked with a smile. “Well, we gotta go sometime soon, but we can do breakfast.” She looked up at me, “I wish you didn’t have to go.” “I wish I didn’t have to too,” I kissed her again. “What are you doing tomorrow,” I asked. “I don’t think I have anything planned,” her smile lit up the already sunny room. “Well, we’ve got a concert tomorrow and I could get you and Hillary tickets and Backstage Passes, if ya’ll can come.” Her eyes got big with joy, “oh my gosh! That sounds like so much fun!” “Better yet, why don’t ya’ll come to the sound check too,” I smiled down at her. “I’ll totally be there! And I know Hillary will too! I’m so excited! Thank you!” With a big smile broadening on her small face, she kissed me again. In the midst of her excitement, Hillary and Zac came trampling down the stairs and into the kitchen. “Good Morning,” Hillary greeted us. “What are we doing for breakfast,” was Zac’s was of saying “Good Morning,” and it seemed as if he already had food on the brain. “Well, do ya’ll wanna go out for breakfast? We don’t have much here,” Melissa mentioned with the rest of us chiming in that it didn’t really matter to us. “How about…,” she began pondering and thinking of places near by. “How about Waffle House,” Hillary suggested looking around for approval. “Sounds good to me, if ya’ll like that idea.” Melissa looked from me to Zac then back again. We both nodded in agreement as the group headed for the door and out to Melissa’s car.
Melissa: Breakfast seemed way too short and I dreaded the end knowing what followed, Taylor leaving. That soon happened. Giving goodbye kisses and hugs, Hillary and I stood at the top of the walkway waving as Clover’s car backed out the long driveway, placing a large gap in between us. Once inside, Hillary and I planned the day out, or at least tried to. It wasn’t long till we realized how bored we were and that Hillary’s mom would probably want her home soon, so I decided instead, to take her home. In the car, we discussed the concert with great enthusiasm and anticipation. I told her I’d call her as soon as I got info from Taylor about it. Then, the discussion changed from the concert to Hillary and Zac. “So, what’s going on with ya’ll,” I inquired a very tired Hillary. “I don’t know. I really like him, but it’s different than you and Taylor. I don’t love him yet.” I nodded. Taylor and I had fallen for each other from the start, what I believed must be what they mean by love at first sight. “But I do like him, a lot. It just takes a while, I guess.” “Yea, I know what ya mean.” “So, Are ya’ll a couple yet,” she asked me with a giggle. Blushing, I answered, “I guess so.” “Awww…that’s so sweet,” she sighed. “Its funny though. Who would have thought something like this would have happened. I half expected it all to be gone this morning; it just seems too good to be true. It’s like a dream, it’s that surreal.” “Yea, but it’s a good surreal,” Hillary told me as I pulled into her driveway. “Yea, It deffinatly is,” I laughed. “Take care, and call me,” she told me stepping out of the car and into the sunlight. “You know I will,” I smiled. “Gotcha, adios, chika,” and with that she shut the car door and I headed back home to the boredom that is the real world.
