Steve Calderone and Dan Zohlmann
(of "Yankees") paired up for what would turn out to be a joke of a championship
game against the "Padres". The "Yankees" put an astonishing 19 runs
on the board in the first inning alone, beginning with a lead off homerun
from Calderone over the left field fence. However, The "Yankees"
would be held to only 3 runs over the next two innings. The "Padres"
also plated a lot of runs during the game but when all was said and done,
they just couldn't keep up with the unyielding forces of the slugging duo,
from the Wilderness Acres "Yankees". Zohlmann finished with 3 grand
slams and hit for the cycle.
