The " Athletics' " offense pounded out 27 runs to grab the victory.  Zohlmann cranked 10 homers including two grand slams to bring his league leading homerun total to 39.  Anthony Calderone crushed his first homerun of the season in the top of the 3rd, a bomb to center.  Also, he pitched the complete game, including only the second perfect inning of the 2001 season.  The " Royals" put pressure on the "Athletics" by scoring 15 runs in the second including Joey Determan's first grand
slam of the season, but that wasn't enough, as the A's win by 11.
