The Car to the right was Derek's Grandfathers car Rene Tessier, The Driver is unknown.As you can tell his family has been involved in racing at Cornwall Motor Speedway Almost from its beging.

Unlike most 15 year olds Derek had been racing cars at Cornwall Motor Speedway. Before he started racing cars, he raced Go-Karts, Ski-doos and Dirt bikes, mostly for fun. At 15 Years old he raced on Cornwall's track for the first time in the Fireball Enduro of 2000. He placed roughly 28th out of 80 cars.If you have seen an Enduro before you would know why its hard to tell what place someone is in.

Derek had always loved racing but after that he loved it more. He Raced in the 2001 fireball Enduro he didn't do very well, due to his battery cracking, after he was smashed into the wall.

In September of 2002 He did very well Finishing in the top 15. The car is now totalled and in the junkers.

July of 2003 was the big one, Derek did the demolition derby. He surprised him self and friends by placing 6th, using a 4cyl. Volvo. his arm got injured due to a station wagon hittng his door but he holds no grudges. "Its all part of racing"
