THE WORM

Color, length, and scents have a lot to do with fishing plastic worms, but this can only take one so far. Beyond the new colors, and new scents are the most important parts of fishing. These are CONFIDENCE and PATIENCE. With no confidence and patience the only fish you will catch are the unlucky ones. Next time you go fishing with your new high-tech fishing equipment remember to bring along your confidence and patience, but these tips will not hurt either.

1. For fishing weedy areas use small worms that can manuever through weeds easily.

2. Be as silent as possible. Try not to make any unusual disturbances.

3. For floating worms us bright colors to make sure the fish can see them.

4. If there is a place that has a heavy bass population use a heavy scented worm.

5. The best place to fish worms is in cover. Whether the cover is in 2 feet of water or 33 feet, use what worm works best for what depth. Try not to fish a worm in the middle of nowhere because a bass in the middle of nowhere responds better to vibration.

WANT TO ADD YOUR OWN WORM TIPS?

Do you have some secrets that you haven't shared before about worm fishing or any other kind of artificial bait treatment? Well here is your chance to spread the word and help other fishermen out. Send your comments to me by email. They will be sure to show up in the section of artificial bait. THANKS.
