Until a couple of months ago I had never used a jerkbait in my life. Well, the way I have fished since then is completely different from the months before. I now have a new confidence bait and that is my watermelon colored zoom super fluke. Everytime I use this bait I am sure that I will catch a fish and this comes true about 75% of the time if I have found some fish. I do not recommend this bait to beginners, because I think it requires a little fishing experience.
1. Use a jerking action...hence the name...kind of twitch your rod to the side and then let the bait fall then twitch the bait again and so on.
2. Try to mimmick a hurt bait fish.
3. I like to fish it in wooded areas like dead trees that are on the bottom. The good vibration attracts fish.
4. Although I like white pearl, my favorite colors are darker ones like watermelon and green pumpkin. Do not ask me why these colors work good because I could not tell you. But they do.
5. My favorite types of jerk baits are the zoom super fluke of course and the bass assissin. I like the ones that have the kind of lip thing going. Makes it easier to weedless hook them.
Do you have some secrets that you haven't shared before about worm fishing or any other kind of artificial bait treatment? Well here is your chance to spread the word and help other fishermen out. Send your comments to me by email. They will be sure to show up in the section of artificial bait. THANKS.
