This season, our show title is Ordinary Day, and we will be performing to Vanessa Carlton's song, "Ordinary Day".  Every "ordinary day" offers a chance to grow through our daydreams and discover that dreams are in the palms of our hands.  The Steperette Cadets look forward to sharing their growth with all of you this season!

For the first time, the Steperette Cadets proudly will watch alumni perform in the Midwest Color Guard Circuit this season. Go, Waubonsie Valley, Independence and Tapestry (o.k., Emily was never a Cadet)! We are proud to be part of the Circuit's Independent Regional "A" class, a great group of young performers and dedicated instructors with guards that never fail to entertain. GOOD LUCK TO ALL!!

The Steperettes organization has existed as a Naperville youth activity for over 35 years.  From 1978 to 1989, the group won 10 Illinois state, 5 national, and 3 world titles in the National Baton Twirling Association Twirling Corps competition.

The Steperettes' major focus since 1990 has been competition in the Midwest Color Guard Circuit.  This is the sixth year the consistently growing Steperette program has been affiliated with the Naperville Park District.  A program designed to provide a fun, low-key  competition experience for children through 8th grade, it is an outgrowth of the regularly scheduled Park District "Fun With Flags" classes that provide an introduction to the activity.  The Steperette Cadets have been a Midwest Color Guard Finalist many times, and have taken first place in our class in 1998, 1999, 2000, and 2001.  The members of this guard are always ready to LEARN and always ready to HAVE FUN!

Our performance in 2000 - 2001 was done to Ricky Martin's "Maria".  We took first place in the Independent Regional A class at the Midwest Finals that year with a score of 88.80!!!!  In 2001 - 2002, we performed to a medley of songs with the theme of "The Twist", and took third place in Finals.
