Attention surfers,
As you can already tell, Angelfire has changed its policy of allowing popup ads versus on page ads. Now there are both popup ads and on-page ads. The problem with this is scripting and maintenance on my part. Also, since the page isn't designed to incorporate these on-page ads, viewing is skewed a bit, which I will come back to later. Second, limited bandwidth was also incorporated for the site. This means that only so much data can be transferred per day. When the bandwidth limit is exceeded, the page is shut down for a minimum of 4 hours (beyond my control).

Angelfire offers a few alternatives to this problem, and yes, you guessed it, they involve money. For those of you comfortable with surfing the site with ads and bandwidth limitations, I would suppose this would not apply to you, but here goes...

One alternative is to eliminate the ads and gain bandwidth for $4.95 a month. This also includes a few perks in maintaining the site.
The second contains all of the above including a domain name (which would be www.sparkmanhockey.com) for about $8.95 a month.

Here's the bottom line. If the site is a nice asset to have for the team, and there's a way to get everyone that is interested to pitch in, the site stays with the same design, but without the occasional bandwidth breach and ads in your face.

If there is no interest in enhancing the experience of this page, then the page stays as-is: Ads all over the place, limited bandwidth, and a bad design. I will then have to shut down the page during the off-season for a complete redesign to incorporate space for the ads. Also, the page will be watered down a bit - less images and flavor in the design to become more practical for bandwidth purposes. (Smaller images, less coding = less data transfer and more bandwidth tolerance.)

Please e-mail me at XenonVX@hotmail.com if you're interested in coming up with a way to help with the site. If not, then I'll make amends.

Thanks for your time,

Zack Brown
