Top Ten Prospects

1)Brandon Moss: (RHP/ SS) Loganville HS, Monroe, GA (Class of 2002) University of Georgia
One of the hardest throwing high school players. Moss throw a high 3/4 fast ball in the 91-93 mph range and will top out at 95 mph. Moss runs well in the 6.7-6.8 seconds range and should play shortstop or third base at the college level.Moss should be drafted in the top 5 rounds.Update Moss was selected in the 8th Round by the Boston Red Sox.

2)Jeremy Hunt: (RHP/1B) Jesuit HS, Tampa, FL (Class of 2002) University of Maryland
Two way player that shows good bat speed and power. On the mound Hunt showed a hard breaking ball with a fast ball in the 88-92 mph range. Hunt should be drafted in the 20-30 round. Hunt was selected in the 28th Round by the San Diego Padres.

3)Jason Short (RHP) Gulf Coast HS, Naples, FL (Class of 2002) FGCU
Short throws a hard breaking ball with good control and a fastball in the 88-92 mph range. He has a projectable body and should get even faster. Short should be drafted in the 20-30 round.

4)Drew Fiorenza (Out) Woodward HS, Atlanta, GA (Class of 2002) Okaloosa-Walton CC
Fiorenza shows alot of tools. He shows good bat speed and power. He will likley play right field in college because of his major league arm and 6.8 speed. Fiorenza should be drafted in the latter rounds. Update Fiorenza was selected in the 29th Round by the Anaheim Angeles in 2003.

5)Dan Richardson (RHP) Pope HS, Marietta, GA.(Class of 2002) Western Carolina University
Richardson shows a fastball in the 87-89 mph range. He shows good arm speed and control. Richardson could be a draft pick next year if his fastball picks up speed. He has a good pitcher's frame.

6)Ben Hall (SS/2B) Seabreeze HS,Ormond Beach, FL (Class of 2002) Stetson University
Hall shows a good glove and hands at Shortstop. Hall runs a 6.9 and shows he can really turn on fastball. Hall can just flat out hit, expect him to be a solid college hitter.

7)Brant Peacher (3B/RHP) Milton HS, Milton, FL (Class of 2003) Florida State University
Despite being just a sophomore. Preacher shows alot of tools. He swings with good batspeed and shows a strong arm from third base.

8)Brandon Yarbrough (C) Richmond SR. HS, Ellerbe, NC (Class of 2003) Wake Forest University
Yarbrough shows alot of tools that may make him into a draft pick in two years. He shows good bat speed from the left side and shows a quick release in the 1.95-2.00 range. Update Yarbrough was selected in the 5th Round by the St Louis Cardinals in 2003.

9)Logan Richetti (C/2B) Bolles HS, Ponte Vedra, FL (Class of 2002) University of Connecticut
Richetti shows he can play both second base and catcher well. He swings with good batspeed and shows soft hands at second base. Richetti throws in the 1.95-2.00 range behind the plate.

10)Jason Houser (Out) Cardinal Spellman HS, East Bridgewater, MA (Class of 2002) University of Connecticut
Houser shows he can turn on a good fastball and shows good speed in the 6.8-6.9 range. Houser shows a good batting eye and should make a solid college hitter right away.
