Sandrine Testud defeated Maja Matevzik 6:2 6:2. This is solid win for Sandrine, from a two week break. In her second round match, she faces Magui Serna. Magui defeated seeded Meghann Shaughnessy in the first round. Magui defeated Sandrine the last time they have faced. Allez Sandrine.

Sandrine is unseeded for Filderstadt. The field is really tough. Of course, Sandrine defeated Lindsay Davenport in the finals of the Porsche Grand Prix a few years back. Hopefully, she'll do it again.

Sandrine has withdrawn from Moscow and Liepzig with a sore wrist and a sore back. She will come back for Filderstadt.

Arantxa Sanchez-Vicario(5) defeated Sandrine Testud(4)6:3 1:6 7:6[5]. Apparently, this was a high-class match. Sandrine was leading 3:6 6:1 3:1 before Arantxa started her comeback. Sandrine lost another third-set tiebreaker. A great two weeks from Sandrine though.

Sandrine Testud(4) defeated Saori Obata 6:2 6:7[4] 6:1. It was a good win for Sandrine. She is probably feeling mentally and physically exhausted right now, as she has been playing for seven consecutive weeks. Plus, most players have a letdown after winning a tournament the week before. Sandrine is now in the quarterfinals, where she will face Arantxa Sanchez-Vicario, the #5 seed. Arantxa barely defeated Silvija Talaja 6:4 6:7[4] 7:6[7] to advance to the quarters. Allez Sandrine!

Sandrine is now traveling to Tokyo, where she is the #4 seed. Kim Clijsters, Monica Seles, and Jelena Dokic are higher seeded. However, Monica Seles has withdrawn, so Sandrine is now the highest seed in her half of the draw. She faces Saori Obata in the 2nd round, since Sandrine received a bye.
