MORE RABBITOH PHOTOS! (Back to Contents Page)
Hope you enjoy some of the things on this page. The page may take a little while to load if it is your first visit but after that it should be quicker assuming you do not delete your temporary internet files on your PC!!
Whilst there are anti Murdoch and anti NRL etc items here it is pointed out that the Boycott is officially over and these items are purely for historical purposes only. As a South's supporter it is something that should not be forgotten or swept under the carpet. The exclusion of Souths for 2 years is fact and proven unjust. This is our proud history of those two years and in fact if you personally still choose to boycott because of what happened that is your choice and okay BUT not being advocated here at present, thanks.
Also ever been curious as to the original tune that our victory song came from (amongst other sport teams eg Manchester United soccer in England)? Well it is called "Battle Hymn Of The Republic" and that is what you generally search for when downloading our victory song tone for your mobile.
Well all you have to do is CLICK HERE!
Note:- To view larger picture click on the thumbnails below and a new browser window should open to display the larger version. All you have to do is re-select this window and click on the next picture you want to look at and go back to the other browser window and so forth. This is to save you having to continually click on the 'back' button in this window. It also allows you to use the back button on the picture 'viewing' (ie the new browser window) to look back and forward at the pictures you have already downloaded saving you having to download them again. Better still click on first thumbnail, then come back here and click on all the other thumbnails you want to see. When finished go to the 'viewing' window and use back and forward buttons to browse each larger image at once! As you do this 'clicking', provided your browser is set up to it's default setting, the file names under each of the thumbnails will change colour so you can keep track of which ones you have already clicked on thus avoiding repetitive downloads which can cost you if on a limited ISP plan. (Usual default settings are red for not visited and blue for visited) Enjoy.
To go to my other site, the main boycott history page (previously was the boycott page), you simply click on the link:-
It is okay for you to copy the pictures etc for personal use but remember to pop a donation off to South's! Please do not deface, make any commercial gain and so forth to / from any of the images. Thankyou.
Photos come first and then South's related clip art, images etc!
Print the logos etc up and make your own posters for home, games and generally just for spreading the "Rabbitoh" word.

Let us all hope that the above impressions (and other depictions on this page) of Rugby League are on the way out. It will never be the same BUT it can be made heaps better....long live Rugby League, and with much bias, long live South Sydney......Will 2002 be the re-birth of Rugby League? It is up to the NRL and News Limited to see it is or it will continue to die. Listen to the fans as they can make or break you guys. (South's supporters are never wrong - LOL) Will we ever forget? - NO, will we ever forgive? - who knows and besides it's early days yet. The 'hurt' we felt will diminish but from there who knows?
One thing is for sure we die hard Rabbitoh supporters have the resolve to carry this through (no one thought we would be back remember!) and another thing that has to be said, needs to be said to the majority of media and sports commentators that continually and gutlessly kept shoving the knife in our backs....WE KNOW WHO YOU ARE......We will never forgive or forget the Hadleys, Vautins, Warrens, Fenechs etc etc of this world. You all have turn around so much and jumped on the Souths bandwagon since we won the court case. You are nothing but NRL 'yes men' and us Souths supporters have NO respect for you what-so-ever and do not want you anywhere near our 'ride' back, just bugger off, thanks! (Now I feel better as many others do too) This is one area that 'sour grapes' are still number one on our list.
Sorry for what appears as negative stuff but it needed to be said from the feedback I get from so many Souths (and others too) supporters. We are very positive in getting back to playing Rugby League with our usual pride and tradition that we at Souths are well known for as did the Rugby League of old. Good luck to all Leagues fans but especially the mighty Rabbitohs!
Now it seems real!
Some were saying the 'gloves are off' but looks like they were on - smile? Now we are back lets get on with business, no need to forget the past but need to get on with Football now.
WHILST THIS IS OUR FIRST GAME BACK, IT IS REALLY THE RETURN OF AN ANNUAL PRE-SEASON CHARITY SHIELD MATCH AGAINST SAINT GEORGE-ILLAWARRA (USED TO BE ST GEORGE UNTIL 'MERGER'.....HO HUM....) & THE FIRST NRL COMPETITION GAME IS IN MARCH 2002 AGAINST THE ROOSTERS. THIS GAME ALMOST SOLD OUT TO MEMBERS ONLY (PRE-PURCHASE) BEFORE BECOMING AVAILABLE TO GENERAL PUBLIC, WHEN IT DID SELL OUT! THIS IS An UNPRECEDENTED PUBLIC DEMAND FOR ANY TRIAL MATCH IN THE HISTORY OF RUGBY LEAGUE & WITH A HUGE MAJORITY OF 40,000 PLUS TICKETS GOING TO SOUTHS FANS TICKETS. WHO STILL SAYS SOUTHS DON'T COUNT? WIN OR LOSE, SOUTHS HAVE MADE HISTORY, YET AGAIN, WITHIN RUGBY LEAGUE CIRCLES. HELL, CHANNEL 9 AND FOX SPORTS HAVE BEEN FIGHTING OVER US AND WANT TO TELEVISE THE MATCH......THERE HAVE EVEN BEEN SCALPERS SELLING TICKETS AT $200.00.....GAME IS TO BE TELEVISED LIVE IN ENGLAND....IS THIS THE TEAM THEY NEEDED TO GET RID OF, LOL LOL....UP THE RABBITOHS!
Our away strip as voted by majority of our fans.
Obviously the team line up would be subject to changes but this gives an overview / comparison of where we were to where we are for the 2002 Charity Shield and beyond.
PLEASE consider joining the Football Club, the Leagues Club and buying George's book - great value at under A$30.00 (he is donating all proceeds 100% to the Club so in buying it you are helping Souths!) Visit South's site for more details / ordering etc CLICK HERE!
We were always going to be back but I am not going to say "I told you so" but I will let you know via this scan of one of the tickets to the first NRL game for Souths since 1999!
When I got my "Michael Andrew's" 2002 season package this was part of it. A hand sized metal plaque in lieu of a Football Club keyring, something different.
This is one of the "Michael Andrew's" 2002 package ticket / passes for each home game 2002
Remember the State Bank Big Game? Unlike the State Bank the South Sydney Rabbitohs live on! This money box is one of a set and in brand new condition despite being at least 17 years old. There was a money box for each team but I only took a photo of the important one of course. They were handed out by the State Bank as part of their sponsorship of the Sunday weekly matches which were dubbed back then "The State Bank Big Game".
RED & GREEN MUST BE SEEN!
MORE RABBITOH PHOTOS! (Back to Contents Page) |
This 'new' style photos page first posted to the Internet on 13th June 2001.
Actual sites last update can be found near the bottom of the main page which can be located from the link "MORE RABBITOH PHOTOS!" above.
Pages have moved several times as 'free' photo providers either closed up or started to charge for their services. Because there is a lot of work in setting these up I have given up and now trying my own web-page based photo albums which I have more control over and are a lot simpler to maintain. Because of the overall size of the album site, which is well over my ISP's megabyte limits, I have had to look for a 'free' web-page provider and in return for this 'free' service am displaying their banner adds. I am hopeful that the pages will no longer require any further movement. I hope this advertising is not too much of an inconvenience as the only other solution for me is to remove the pages from the web completely. You never know you might see something that interests you - but please come back!
