The PSBR was formed in January 2000. We could be called the "Senior Bull Riders TURTLE Association" (as in the PRE-RCA Cowboys Turtle Association), because of our slowness to begin such an organization.
The Objective of the PSBR is to promote Professional Senior Bull Riding Events as a Sport for those of us who have enjoyed it for so many years and wish to continue riding bulls in a fair and honest competition.
We want to establish an organization in which each member has a voice in promoting and achieving our objectives. Such an organization is what we are made up of: A President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Bull Riding Event Secretary and a Board of Directors. All members have a voice in any and all decisions by their vote.
Members are in three age groups:35-41; 42-49; 50-over, to be eligible for competition. We also have Associate Memberships available for Non-Competing persons, as well as stock contractors memberships.
At the end of the year we will donate to a charitable organization of the members choice. In the year 2001, the members have voted on FACE (Friends of Abused Children Everywhere) as our charity.
Our members include current champions of the Senior Professional Bull Riders Tour, Hall of Fame Bull Riders Only, as well as former Pro Rodeo Card Holders.
These Bull Riders Love what they do. They each feel blessed by God above for their health, which enables them to still be able to continue to compete. Their resons for competing vary, but one element is in each of their hearts, THE LOVE OF THE SPORT. Even though Bull Riding has been voted as the world's most dangerous sport, each of our Bull Riders wish to put back into the sport as much as they have received from it: By still being able to compete & somehow contribute to a cause they feel will help to support charities in all that they do.
In our endeavor to achieve out goals & objectives in becoming a well established and strong association, we realize we cannot accomplish this alone. Outside help is needed in the form of Sponorships.
Sponsors are a very most important part of the success of any venture. Exposure of our sponsors at any and all of our sanctioned events is what we offer, with company name and logo.
