Life's A Miracle...

Lydia de Vega was born in Manila but was raised in Meycauayan, Philippines. She got married with a handsome guy who ended up to be my uncle, (my dad's brother), Pablo V. Mercado. They both then have 3 children but the youngest one died last Febraury 2001 of a jeepney accident at their town just in front of their home. Her family and relatives lives in Manila but some in Amungan, a small city in P.I. Right now she lives in Project 4, Metro Manila with her husband and their children. As a young teenager, she had a dream........a dream that she could be famous sometime. When her teenage years goes by in her life, she thought of a goal to make her dream come true. Of course it took very long to find out that it needed to happen. Because that is all she's expecting inher life. A dream like that turn out to be a famous runner in our country...(the Pinas). Then the days of her teenage life was like a miracle. She became the fastest woman in Philippines who ran in Olympics. It was a shock to her that it finally happened to her. This life's on with her, she's very thankful to God that He let her gave strength and power to succedd in life. Her coach that helped her succeed as an athlete is whom she called “tatang”- an old man who trained her to be a fast athlete. Though, she was hard to train back then because she didn’t expect that this would be hard on her. But as she experience it and gotten used to it, it became her top priority in life. She also spends her spare time listening to music. She has many kind of cd's and cassettes of filipino songs recorded by popular artist in Philippines. Because she loves music, she also dreamed to write love songs.
