John's (purestock68) 1986 Pure Stock Cutlass. 2002 season stats-17th out of 57 car field-finish positions for the year go as/features-6th, DQ, 21st (hit the wall in turn 4...ouch) 11th, 13th, 11th, 9th, 11th, 8th, 5th, 2nd, 9th, 12th, 10th...those are with a starting field of 26 cars that made the feature. Next are heat race finishes which usually consist of 10 cars/3rd, 4th, 4th, 2nd, 5th, 2nd, 3rd...best qualifying time on 3/10 mile asphalt oval was 18.76 sec usually was top 15 qualifier.Car had 305 chevy with stock bottom end flattops,2 barrel rochester,stock exhaust manifold with .415int .415ext 236 deg duration@.050 106 center made by Isky, 461 heads with 2.42 rear and turbo 350 tranny. Cutlass body and chassis with pontiac gran prix aftermarket nose. Plans for 2003/Mansfield Speedway/355 Olds Saginaw 3 speed/5.00 something gears and first feature win!!!!Motor specs for 355 Olds will follow when I know more.
