JERSEY SHORE BREAKS THE WAVE

Sometimes a very young team will have to take some lumps in order to get better. Northumberland although playing in the U-14 division have 10 girls that are 12 or younger. On Sunday they met a very physical and mature Jersey Shore Team. Jersey Shore jumped to an early lead and led 8-1 at halftime. The young Wave team kept battling and actually out scored Jersey Shore 1-0 in the second half. The final score was 8-2 but the Wave should keep their heads up because good things are on the horizon for this young but talented squad. Goal scorers for the Wave were Megan Neff and Mallory Haddon.
