Hjohnnym's Page!

Hello! Welcome to my homepage! I'm a 44 year old single white male located in Largo, Florida. I moved to West Palm Beach, Florida in July 2004 from my hometown of Dayton, Ohio. After a year in West Palm Beach I relocated to Largo, Florida. I've also lived in Atlanta, Georgia from 1994 to 1998. I'm 5-10 195 lbs. I'm a college graduate with a BA in Communications.

Some of my interests are going to comedy/action/drama/romance and some sci-fi movies. Some of my favorite movies are When Harry met Sally, Meet the Parents, Meet the Fockers, American Pie, The American President, Corky Romano, There's Something about Mary, Vegas Vacation, Road Trip, Oceans Eleven, Big Daddy, Star Wars, Austin Powers, Jerry McGuire and the Waterboy.

I listen to 80's pop and 90's modern rock music. Some of my favorite bands today are Matchbox Twenty, Third Eye Blind, Tonic, Goo Goo Dolls, BareNaked Ladies, Better than Ezra, Live, The Calling, Lifehouse, Default, Incubus, Dave Matthews Band, Smash Mouth, Sugar Ray, Our Lady Peace, 3 Doors Down and Nickelback.

I've been to a few concerts in my life. I've seen Starship, Mr. Mister and Modern English at spring break 1986-Daytona Beach. I've seen Billy Joel, Taylor Dayne and Gloria Estefan in concert. I've also seen Chumbawamba and Sister Hazel at Atlanta's Centennial Olympic Park in march 1998. I've seen Everclear, Lifehouse and Matchbox Twenty in Cincinnati in March 2001. The last concert I went to was America and Huey Lewis and the News at Taste of Pinellas in June 2010

I also like dining out, being with friends, going to the beach, perusing bookstores and malls and collecting sports memorabilia.

I'm an avid autograph seeker! Some autographs I've collected are Barry Williams(Greg Brady on the Brady Bunch), Dan O' Brien(gold medalist decathlete-1996 olympic games), Scot Hollenbeck(Gold medal winning paralympic athlete in track and field), Cal Ripken, Jr.(Soon to be hall of fame baseball player), Denny Crum( retired University of Louisville head basketball coach and hall of famer), and Billy Payne(ACOG president and CEO).

I've also met Newt Gingrich(former speaker of the house) twice, Craig Sager(TNT Sports) and Stan Kasten(President of the Atlanta Braves and Hawks).

I have a large home movie, audio tape and CD collection and enjoy watching nostolgic tv shows.

I am a billboard magazine enthusiast! I've been reading billboard magazine since I was 12 years old. I follow the Hot 100 singles chart and keep a copy of these charts for a year back. I've been doing that since 1986. I've got a collection of Billboard books at home. Some of the books in my collection are: Billboard Top 1000 singles, Billboard Top 10 Charts, Billboard's Hottest 100 Hits, Billboard book of Top 40 Hits and Billboard Top Pop Singles. I also keep track of current number one hits! I love following the Billboard Charts!

I've made a commercial for Subway while I lived in Atlanta and it aired for 15 months as a local spot. In college I participated in a media all-star game televised live at halftime of a college basketball game. I've also been published in a commemorative book of the 1996 Paralympic games and 2002 winter olympic games. My name resides on the Wall of Honor for volunteers in the Olympic Legacy Plaza in Salt Lake City.

My favorite TV shows are Desperate Housewives, Criminal Minds, Dancing with the Stars & Smallville and Reality Shows like The Bachelor,& The Apprentice. If I'm not watching these shows I'm probably watching a basketball, football or baseball game.

I follow the Atlanta Braves in baseball. I've been a Braves fan since 1982. I like the Jacksonville Jaguars in pro football even though I still route for the Cincinnati Bengals, whom I've been a fan of since I was 10 years old. I route for Ohio State and Louisville in college football, Louisville and Wright State in college basketball and finally in the NBA I route for the Indiana Pacers!

My latest interest is fantasy sports online! I've been playing since fall 1998. I play fantasy baseball, football and basketball General Manager and pickem' fantasy games at ESPN.com where I have to pick players within a salary cap and how well they do on the field determines their market salary and point totals. I usually place in the top 25% of all players but in the summer of 1999 I placed in the top 1% of over 300,000 players in fantasy baseball. If you know how to play, come challenge me!

I worked in the sports marketing field for a while and followed my dream to work the 1996 olympic games in Atlanta where I supplied International Journalists with official results and worked as a Mixed Zone Marshall at the Georgia World Congress Center. I got a glimpse of hollywood glitz live as I got to see the opening ceremony dress rehersal! It was so incredible! I also got to see the USA womens gymnastics team and the USA mens basketball dream team in press conference after each won a gold medal! I saw 3 world records there, 2 when I worked and one as a spectator. I was at the olympic stadium and witnessed a world record in the mens 100 meter race! After the olympics I worked the Paralympic games in Atlanta as an equipment and wheelchair handler for athletes. I actually got to be on the field of play at the Olympic stadium where the olympic athletes competed, what a thrill!

I was also a 4 year volunteer each for the Peachtree Road Race and the US 10K Classic Road Race in Atlanta. I worked 3 years with a sports marketing company that brought the worlds best tennis players to Atlanta. I also worked for a semi-professional basketball club in ohio called the Dayton Wings as an Intern. I was also Sports Director of my college radio station! Now I'm out of that field but I'd still like to work in PR/Marketing.

I also volunteered at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City where I worked as an Accreditation Associate. I worked at the Team 2002 Processing Center where I helped accreditate the 25,000 volunteers. I got a great uniform, a watch, a medallion, olympic pins and a certificate. The uniform consisted of a green coat, a green vest, a black shirt, a crosspack, black ski pants, gloves and a hat. I was selected from a field of 65,000 applicants and most of the 25,000 selected were from Utah. I was selected as an out of state volunteer! Being a part of 2 olympic games is quite a thrill for me!!
