GNG fans, this is your site

GNG is a home to all who know of water warfare as a family of warriors with common purpose

If you are a new visitor to this site, welcome! I'm glad you caught it as it is right now, because it didn't quite look like this in the beginning. Basically, this site takes a more militant approach to the famed 'water wars' over the summer that we all know. Everybody has there way of doing it. This is ours. We find it more enjoyable to dress the part, in standard issue BDUs, use radio communication, camouflaged and modded weapons, and approach the fight in a more military-style scenario. We are not your average kids running around the neighborhood.

Basically, we enjoy simulating warfare, while keeping it fun, inexpensive, and totally safe. We consider it a sport, but its hard to get recognition for something that was primarily designed for little kids over the summer. Many of us are paintball players and airsoft enthusiasts as well, but we find that water-warfare(as it is known) is something a little more low key that can be done around the neighborhood by just about everyone. Even the girls enjoy it! This way, we get to face challenges, try out our best strategies, and hone our skills in the art of war simulation without ever having to leave the neighborhood.

Originally, this website was created before I had any real 'official' knowledge of this type of play. Back then it was just simple hardcore soaking, and thats what this site was about-hardcore soaking-and that's what it is about today. This website has several features, some interactive. There is the First Defense Messageboard, chat, and occasionally a poll. The website is a more in-depth version of what it started out as, a website having to do with the weapon, the soldier, the game, and the discussions. Something that you'll find on this site that you might not find anywhere else is the incorporation of pictures throughout this website. I believe that when done, this site will have over 100 soaker related pictures. You will find the best, most accurate weapon reviews on the internet, because before I write a review, I usually spend a great deal of time with the blaster, instead of just writing about it's obvious feautures and performance. There is not any model of soaker that I have owned that I have not seen the inside of, and this has given me great experience that I can transfer to this site through repair tips to modifications, simple blaster know-how to deep technical discussions.
