In a close game the San Francisco ballclub got by the Lake Erie Indians by the
score of 9 to 7.

Jeff Bagwell led the offense for San Francisco.  He laced a one-base hit in
the 1st inning, lined a single bringing in a run in the 7th inning and rifled
a three-run blast (his 2nd of the season) in the 8th inning.  A wild and
woolly affair, this game saw the lead change 5 times.

John Johnstone(1-0) was the winner allowing no runs in 2/3 of an inning. Scott
Williamson recorded his 3rd save.  Billy Wagner(0-2) suffered the loss in
relief.  He gave up 3 runs and 2 hits in 1 inning.
