INTERESTED IN DRAGON BOAT PADDLING ???
Penang Forward Dragon Boat Team is comprised of the guy team. The team has a rowing and a workout coach to train the team members competing in local and international races. If you are staying in Penang, no matter of you are working or studying and interested in rowing we very welcome you to join our team. In Penang, we take part in the Penang International Dragon Boat Race (held somewhere in May or June). This year we are the champion in 2002 Penang TYT International Invitation Open Race 20 men, first runner up in 20 men National Race and second runner up in 12 men National Race. We represent Penang to participate in certain International races every year. For instance,2001 WuXi International Dragon Boat Festival in China .
Guys, there is no special pre-requisite to join our team. All you need to have is your commitment and dedication to the team. Also your willingness and determination to put in the effort to train up as a good paddler. We are looking for people who are well-disciplined, highly-motivated and with the right attitude of mind. Remember, no paddling experience is required prior to you to join the team. If you do not have any sports background, we will train you up to be one of the best. If you have previous paddling experience or some basic fitness level it is an advantage. However there is always room for improvement and there should never be an end to learning. So if you are interested, you are welcomed to come for our trial or come rowing with us for a few sessions and see if you are in for the challenge. O.K.
