July 28th, 2004 NEWS:
So, it's finally almost here. Bernard Hopkins and Oscar De La Hoya are set to put the words aside and exchange blows on September 13th. The Golden Boy looked lackluster in his last outing, nearly losing a chance at this super matchup by just inching past little known Felix Sturm. Hopkins, on the other hand, completely dominated and dismantled Robert Allen, however not in the fashion that I expected he would. All in all, both fighters had less than stellar performances in their last appearances to the ring and both should be at their peaks if they expect to get a win in this one. Check out my commentary in the Predictions page. I'm sure I will turn a lot of heads with my call so let's discuss it on the War of the Words II message board. This fight should be one for the ages!
