6. RACING AREA

The racing area is Tin Can Bay Inlet.

7. COURSES

Courses are trapezoidal and will be described in the Sailing Instructions.

SCORING

The Low Point Scoring System as per RRS Appendix A will apply.

Five races are required to be completed to constitute a series.

  1. When fewer than six races have been completed, a boat's series score will be the total of her race scores.
  2. When from six to seven races have been completed, a boat's series score will be the total of her race scores excluding her worst score.
  3. When eight or more races have been completed, a boat's series score will be the total of her race scores excluding her two worst scores.

9. FACILITIES

Hard standing within the grounds of TCBYC will be provided for all boats.  The regatta will be dry sailed with launching from trailers via the public boat ramp adjacent to TCBYC.

10. SUPPORT VESSELS

Coaches and support personnel shall stay outside the course area from the time of the preparatory signal until all boats have finished or the race committee signals a postponement, general recall or abandonment.  Failure to comply with this requirement may result in boats connected with the coach or support personnel being penalised.  Penalties for any breaches may be less than disqualification if the protest committee so determines.

RADIO COMMUNICATION

A boat shall neither make radio transmissions while racing nor receive radio communications.  This restriction also applies to mobile phones.
