Brian was born in Ballyfermot on the 15th of November 1981. He comes to Brunton Park from Bohemians where he previously linked up with Roddy Collins and has played regularly for the Republic of Ireland U21s.
Brian's trade mark surging runs forward have
given opposing defenders problems. This was typified in the away game against
Orient on 28th of December. Receiving the ball
from Glennon in defence he
powered forward past the half way line and with Orient in disarray he unleashed
a powerful shot from around 35 yards out. The ball smashed into the top right
corner with the keeper stranded, another contender for goal of the season.
Although his preferred position is as a right back, he has played as a left back
this season and also helped out in central defence.
