The Brtish All Styles Karate Association has a membership of clubs nationwide, with a wide variety of styles. We can provide first class tuition in all aspects of Karate from experienced instructors. Membership of BASKA includes EKGB membership. We have national and international recognition, with a National Squad who have toured Europe and the USA. BASKA has a policy of non-interference in the daily running of your club, but has a wealth of technical backup if required. Our motto is "Strength In Unity" and our aim is to bring all clubs and styles together to share knowledge and build a strong spirit, friendship and good Karate. Our chief instructor, Shihan Greg Wallace, has been practising martial arts for 30 years in styles including Kyokushinkai, Sankukai, Shotokan, Wado Ryu, and Aiki Jutsu, before becoming the founder of his own style, Renshinkai. Shihan’s wide knowledge of traditional karate, plus competition styles brought him success in both kumite and kata, winning the British Full Contact Championship in 1977, Tera National Championships in 1978, 1979 and 1980, the British Open Kumite Championships in 1981 and 1983, and many other titles throughout his career. As an all styles Karate association, we have senior instructors from Shotokan, Wado Ryu, Renshinkai, Kempo, Kyokushinkai and Free Style on our courses. BASKA organises many events, all over the country, throughout the year.
