The High School (HS) is a new league being offered to the HS teams to allow them to get some playing time in during the off season. This leagues begins in Mid October and ends the week before Thanksgiving Day. This league is an 18U league so that all girls wether they are a freshman or a senior can play on the team. The league plays between 8 to 10 games during the week only. Monday - Thursday. We leave the weekends open so the teams can play any tournaments that may be going on. Games start at 6:30pm and 8:00pm. We play at the MLK Sports Complex off Eden Rd and Hwy 287. AGSA supplies insurance, ASA registration, game balls, scorebooks, lineup cards, umpires, fields and lights. The HS teams supply the uniforms and the players. AGSA offers this league to help raise money for the recreational teams in AGSA's rec leagues. These leagues are the future of all HS teams. Our recreational teams introduce girls to softball and encourage teams to play tournaments. Hopefully, some players if not some teams will begin playing tournaments and move out of the recreational leagues and go on to play softball in High School. |
