I understand that the sole purpose of the Arlington Girls Softball Association is to promote girls softball and sportsmanship.

I understand that AGSA is a voluntary organization and as such depends on parents and friends to do the large amount of work necessary to offer the program.

I DO HEREBY COMMIT MYSELF TO THE FOLLOWING:

1.To abide by the rules established by the Board of Directors.

2.To recognize the Board of Directors as the governing body and to abide by and accept its decisions as final.

3.To conduct myself in a responsible manner at all AGSA events.

4.Never criticize publicly umpires, officials, coaches or players. While verbal abuse of umpires seems to have become an American custom at sporting events, it nevertheless has no place at this level of play and will not be tolerated. Please contact your coach or commissioner if you would like to become an AGSA umpire.

5.To refer all grievances to your coach or league commissioner as is appropriate.

6.To understand that each girl who is an active member of each team must have a chance to play in each game.

7.To assist the league in the care and maintenance of equipment and playing facilities.

8.To be diligent in providing proper precautions for the safety of the girls. I further understand that failure on my part to abide by or execute the guidelines specified herein will subject my daughter to dismissal from the program.

The Parental Guidelines is from the back of AGSA's Player Contract. Below is that portion on the front of the Player Contract where the parent's signature must appear.

As a parent, I have read, understand and agree to abide by the AGSA parental guidelines printed on the back of this contract. I understand that a fee of $10 will be assessed for returned checks. I am aware that the manager has a copy of the AGSA by-laws and playing rules, as well as the ASA rule book and that I have access to these documents. I understand that the player fee must be paid in full before my daughter can play and that no part of the fee will be refunded if she drops out after play has begun.

In consideration for the privilege of my daughter playing in AGSA's softball program, and for having access to the facilities and use of AGSA equipment, I hereby release and hold harmless the Arlington Girls Softball Association, its officers, managers, coaches, umpires, employees or volunteers, from any and all liability or responsibility for any and all claims, damages, losses, injury sustained during the course of normal activities associated with warm-ups, practice or games, or costs or expenses arising either directly or indirectly from such activities, whether or not caused, in whole or in part, by alleged negligence of AGSA, its officers, managers, coaches, umpires, employees or volunteers.
