Beginning with some quick color rendering, I decide not to make the enclosure too complex as it adds weight takes time.  I end up taking the conventional box approach.

Using given dimensions, it made the assembly very fast using just yellow glue and brads (nail gun) for assembly.  One coat of oil based primer and 2 coats of Behr Scarlet Fever interior paint was rolled on.  Silver screws were used instead of the black hex type and the enclosure was lined with polyester.

The Crossover has been upgraded with Sonicaps ($13ea) audiophile capacitors, and 4% silver solder and glue filled heat shrink is used throughout the network.  They sound more full than the AV-1+, with just about as much detail due to the Sonicaps.  They have a nice in room response below 45hz and are rear firing.  Compared to the JBL S38s, the AV-3s make the JBL Studios sound muffled and bright sounding.  The AV-3s have a blend of laid back soothing sound and a crisp clean sound stage with surprisingly good accuracy.
