1. Designated Import: Each team is allowed to Designate one import as a non-import.This player will be considered a non-import for the rest of the season.
2. Designated Import Released: If a team releases a Designated Import the player loses his status as a non-import.At that point the team loses the ability to have a Designated Import on their roster for the rest of the season.
3. Designated Import Salary: The Designated Import receives a $5,000 dollar add on to his salary value. His salary value is still the same even if he is released.
4. Trading Designated Import: A Designated Import can only keep his Designated Import status if the Designated Imports from both teams are traded at that trade.
5.Designated Import Numbering: Wether the Designated Import is an eligible or ineligible receiver he must wear number 40. Only the Designated Import can were number 40.
A Designated Import is not mandatory. If for some reason you do not want to use the option then you do not have to. Please make note of this to theCommissioner. Simply state "No Designated Import Player".
