Andrei Markov was one of the highest touted prospects on defence in the CTCHL. Thee best part is that he has fullfilled his potential. He has tremendous skill and will surely be an impact player in the CTCHL. He has both great offensive talent and is also great defensively with a great shot and good crisp passes. He is the younger brother of Toronto Maple Leafs great defenseman Daniil Markov. He will get to play for the Atlanta Thrashers this season and has already emerged as a top 2 defenceman. He will only improve as he is only 22 years of age. He is 6 feet tall and weighs 203 pounds. He was drafted in the 1998 NHL entry draft by the Montreal Canadiens. He was a steal being picked in the 6th round 162nd overall. He hails from Voskresensk, Soviet Union.
