Hello. Welcome to the United Tactical Fleet's webpage. This page was designed to answer your questions about our groups storyline. The year is 2380. The Federation is still rebuilding from the Federation-Dominion war, diplomatic relations with the Romulan Empire has reverted back to their previous state, the Klingon Empire is in a state of mild civil war between forces loyal to Martok and those of Toral, Son of Duras. But, relations with the Cardassian Union have never been better.
So why, you ask, is a group called the United Tactical Fleet needed? The Romulan Empire's recent attack on the USS Enterprise NCC-1701-E by the late Praetor Shinzon have left a large hole in diplomatic relations. Only Admiral Donatra and Admiral William Ross has prevented an all out war, especially after Starfleet Command detected more ships of the Scimitar-Class being unofficially constructed.
The United Tactical Fleet's primary mission is one of peaceful exploration like all of Starfleet, however when things go bad, this new Tactical Fleet is the first one they call. Our ships compose of Federation officers, Klingon officers and Romulan officers, as do our crews, that are dedicated to keeping the peace in the Alpha and Beta Quadrants. Not all of UTF's missions are tactical, nor are in a state of war. We are however, near war with the Romulan Empire, and the Klingon forces loyal to Toral have attacked several Federation starships and starbases near the boarder.
Unfortunately it is not known how Toral managed to build is fleet, but one would assume through rapid bribes and promises of glorified battle helped him win a few divisions. Our mission, is to scout unexplored space and investigate threats by those that wish to hurt the wounded and damaged peace. Are you willing to help?
