Part of the Pleiades star cluster, M45, in Taurus, with stars (clockwise from bottom right Maia, Asterope and Taygeta.  Some blue nebulosity is visible around the bright stars, caused by gas and dust reflecting starlight.

Processing:  Acquired in Astrovideo as FITS.  Stacked and mosaicked in Iris. 


In this case the uneven sky background and nebulosity made good mosaicking difficult.  The joins between the 4 different images are visible.
