Dan in Iraq
Dan just recently moved camps again. I hope that this one is more permanent. He has AC and is able to call home for a few minutes everyday now.
Dan and Yocum are going to be taking 3 days of R&R starting on the 22nd. I'm glad that he's going to be able to spend his birthday somewhere other than on duty or having to deal with other personnel. He's anxious to get the laptop that I sent for his birthday so he can play his games. I sent it almost two weeks ago.....glad I got the insurance on it. We'll see what happens.

T-11 days and counting!!!!!
Mel and I are heading to the U.S. Space Academy in Alabama on the 28th! I'm excited to put my knowledge of the space program and technology to use. We're going to have three very busy days of training. From hydroponics labs to sitting in the cockpit of the space shuttle for mock missions. From the 1/6th gravity trainer to the multi-axis trainer.

School
Summer semester is over. It was hard trying to study and do homework with a 9 month old whining for attention and grabbing my books, but I made it. I also managed to keep the "A" in the end.
Fall semester starts next week and I'm excited to get started again. This semester it's math and Chinese. A total of 9 credit hours.....not much, but add a 10 month old into that and you've got yourself a busy schedule. Especially when my help is on the other side of the planet.
My plans are still to major in aerospace techonology/engineering. :)
