The Realms of Driantis and Tanris

Welcome to the main webpage for the role playing realms of Driantis and Tanris. Role playing is a term used for acting as characters in a game. It's a great way to get away from the chaos of everyday life and take a mini vacation into a world where you can be who you want to be. Driantis and Tanris currently role play in the medieval era. Both of the planets are focused around castles, knights, kings and mystical creatures. There is no restriction to your level of experience in role playing for these realms. We are willing to accept any and all role players and help them expand their skills in role playing. Although most role players belong to a guild, there are some role players that choose to stay independant. But like with any job, benefits arise when you belong to a guild. Below is some general information about the two planets along with other misc information I deemed important for some reason. To get to one of the planets, click on the picture to the right of the planet description. It will take you to the website for that planet. Enjoy all that is given to you for one day it may not be there.

The Rules Just like in any video game, role playing has rules. Sometimes people don't like to follow these rules and it makes it very hard to enjoy anything. So therefore I have set up these rules for referance. Mind you these are just general rules and there are people of power on all the planets which create rules of their own.

1. Role Playing is an online game played by people pretending to be someone else. It is only a game and matters which take place In Character (IC) are not always true Out Of Character (OOC). It is only a game.
2. The act of moding is strictly prohibited in role plays which are battle oriented. (Moding is when you type something without giving the other person a chance to block or dodge.) Although there are exceptions. For example; play battles between friends, healing spells, and other various similiar things. If you do mode in a role play it is up to the creator of the room to make his/her decision on whether or not it was acceptable or not.
3. All role plays are constructed and played out in private, public chat rooms of Yahoo Messenger/Chat, American online Instant Messenger (AIM), and American Online (AOL). There are exceptions. If you are having a personal conversation with a member of the guild which you are having personal relations with or there is just not enough members to make a chat room (enough members consists of five).
4. Role plays are played in a real time status. Therefore it cannot go from night to day in a blink of an eye. It is safe to say that if you role play at the time that it is where you live then you will be in real time. Although the creator of a chat room has complete control over the setting of a chat room which includes the time.
5. Chats must be carried in an orderly fashion based on what the chat is about. Sexual topics should be discussed in an instant message (IM) chat not in a chat room unless the chat room was created for just a sexual purpose. I.E. A whore house or bar.

This website was created by me, Amanda M. Anderson. Although a have some things to say. I try my hardest to make sure everything is credited within this website and all those linked to it. Pictures have come to me with out any links telling me who to credit them to. Although my job is to take the pictures which are sent and put them online. If you are an artist of a picture and you do not want it online or you would like to contact the person who placed there for legal reasons please email me at TanrisDragonKin@aol.com. I will inform you of the person who sent me the file and their email address and screen name so you may take proper action. Again I am only responsible for those pictures I place online and all of them are credited. In other words, members of Tanris, this is your only warning.
If there are any other questions about anything on the website feel free to email me and I will answer them. Credits for both pictures and other text information will be found on a cited page.

As promised I've started writing summaries of the different planets and what they are about. This will make it easier for people to look at specific planets to find the one that they like best. Again I remind you that not all planets have guilds and some that do not have specific guilds. But keep in mind, this is all created for you to have fun.

Driantis=Driantis is a planet created by a late queen to protect her people. The old planet of Driantis was over-ran by terrible outlaws and the people were threatened. She created this world for people to come in peace and to live their lives the way they want to not the way others want. There is a guild here but it is not a normal guild. Every guild catagory is lead by one man or woman who gives orders. That one person is a royalty figure. The guild is also not a one person per position and therefore there thousands upon thousands of positions open. The religion is based off of the religion Pagan, or wiccan. Although if you do not agree with that religion it is perfectly acceptable and you will not be criticized. Driantis is commonly known as "The Planet of Royalty" because those who live there often are of royal decent or are crowned or given a royal stature. This is a good place if you are retiring a character of yours.

Nobility Definitions-Below I have given you definitions of what terms are commonly used throughout this realm. These are all political titles and if you would like to use them please pick one which suits your character for what it is not what you want it to be. We are always trying to be fair within this realm and therefore you are not shunned upon if you hold a lower position that someone else.

Emperor: The sovereign or supreme monarch of an empire; a title of dignity superior to that of king.
Empress: A woman emperor or the wife or widow of an emperor.
King: A chief ruler; a sovereign; one invested with supreme authority over a nation, country, or tribe, usually by hereditary succession.
Queen: A woman who is the sovereign of a kingdom who is eminent in power or attractions.
Prince: a male member of a royal family other than the sovereign (especially the son of a sovereign).
Princess: a female member of a royal family other than the queen (especially the daughter of a sovereign).
Baron: A feudal tenant holding his rights and title directly from a king or another feudal superior; also One having great wealth, power, and influence in a specified sphere of activity.
Baroness: a noblewoman who holds the rank of baron or who is the wife or widow of a baron.
Lord: One who has power and authority; a master; a ruler; a governor; a prince; a proprietor, as of a manor.
Lady: A woman who looks after the domestic affairs of a family; a mistress; the female head of a household; also a woman of aristocratic family.
