Constitution
To me the constitution is something that is very important to every person that lives in the United States. The consitution defines to everyone what their rights are and what a person can or can't do. In the constitution there are many different parts, there are 7 articles. Each article also has sections that go along with them. The seven articles are The Legislative Branch, The Executive Branch, The Judical Branch, Relation of the States to Each Other, Amending the Constitution, National Debts, and Ratifying the Constitution. In each of the articles it talks about what power each of them holds. When thinking of the Constitution I think about the Bill of Rights, which includes the 27 Amendments. But when I think of the Amendedments the first few amendments are what I really know and think about, which include Freedom of Speech, the Right to Bear Arms, and Right to a Fair Trial. To me the Constitution is a very important document. The Constitution is what our Founding Fathers thought the United States was going to be and they set these ground rules for everyone to follow which are all defined in the Constitution.

Language shapes Culture
Blog 2:
After reading all the stories on language I totally believe that language shapes culture. Before I read all the stories I had already thought that Language had a huge impact on culture, but after reading all these stories it made me believe it even more. I think that Language is the most important thing that anyone person can learn. The language that you know reflexes the culture that you are a part of. In the book on page 655 the author says ?Despite political upheaval, changes in government, natural disasters, war and famine, language remains.?(Cooper, 655) This sentence sums up to me what language means and how important it is. No matter what happens language will always stay the same. In the stories we read I think that language was shown how it shapes culture in the story, Chinese Relations. In this story we read about all the different words they have for one thing. Like how they have 19 different words for silk and 8 for rice. We also read about how the language of a writers 2 sons has changed from the language that the writer used when he was his sons age. After reading all these different views on language I just understand more why it is so important and how is influences ever part of our culture and our world.
