The goal of the Youth Advisory Committee is the be the "voice" of the Morgan Hill teen community.They asess the recreation and leisure needs and desires of local teens and advocate program development before the Parks and Recreation Commission.

How did the YAC get started?

In recognizing the importance of the current and future needs of youth, the Morgan Hill City Council appreoved the concept for a Youth Advisory Committee which was adopted as part of the ordinance that also re-established the Parks and Recreation Commission.

The appointment of the first 8 members was completed in June, 2000. The Youth Advisory Committee advises the Parks and Recreation Commission and the City Council.
