What can I learn in a few short hours?

Read and pronounce Russian in only 2 hours!  Students move quickly and confidently to fluent communication – surprise yourself as you learn without (well, almost without) anxiety; even if you have a few little doubts – you will make speedy headway. 

Recognise and use up to 500 useful words and everyday phrases for holidays, exchanges, business trips and friendly visits.  Have a lot of fun trying…!

The method

This Cornwall-based language training is especially designed to allow people to gather an understanding of how Russians think and form sentences.  This means that, in a quite ridiculously short time, students are able to speak, listen and spell to a high level of accuracy and fluency – and the building blocks are in place to continue detailed progress over future weeks.

About the tutor

Your tutor is an energetic and inspiring lecturer.  Since graduating from the university of Exeter in 1997 she has worked as an interpreter for a number of charities supporting children affected by Chernobyl, and medics from both Belarus and Russia, as well as training groups and private individuals.  Her methods are founded in humour and confidence building – and are very effective!!

An eclectic mix involving aspects of various systems, produced in a unique manner aimed at stimulating linguistic response. 

Previous knowledge required

None at all – we only ask that students should be prepared to “have a go….” at techniques.
