Lesson Plan Procedures: |
|
Day 1, 50 minutes- The instructor will provide students with information on hurricanes through lecture and notes. Day 2, 50 minutes- Students will be assigned groups by the instructor and will work through the Webquest presentation together. The instructor will continuously monitor students’ progress and answer questions. Day 3, 50 minutes- Continued from Day 2, students will continue working with their assigned groups on the Webquest activity. Students should begin working on their plan of action for the rural community. The instructor will continue to monitor students’ progress and answer questions. Day 4, 50 minutes- Continue working with assigned groups. The students should have their plan of action completed for the rural community by this time. The instructor will continue to monitor students’ progress and answer questions. Day 5, 50 minutes- Assessment of the students’ knowledge. The learners will present their plan to the class with the class acting as a town meeting. The learners should be prepared to answer questions from the community (class) and will be graded based on the rubric provided. |
