COMPONENTS
Component 1 In Component 1, we were asked to do research on the past of our NCT Technical Application. The component consisted of three basic parts. The first was a short essay involving the basic history of our Application. The second was a listing of three detailed examples of specific research done in the past three to five years in our application's field, including other information about the researcher, the funding agency, and the institution where the research was conducted. Component one was accomplished mainly by Ryan D., the primary research director. Component 2 Component 2 greatly dealed with manufacturing of products in our field. The first part of Component 2 was to identify two companies and a product by each that relate directly to our Technical Application. Then, we were to identify 2 companies involved with the products described and to give information on them. Next, we were instructed to propose a new product to better our Technical Application. |

Finally, we were to locate a company via the Internet that may be able to build our product, and we were to e-mail that company requesting an evaluation of the proposed product. Component 2 was accomplished mainly by Stephen H., the webmaster. Component 3 The final component, Component 3, predicted what the future would be like if our product were to be successful. It consisted of three main parts. Firstly, we were to provide a forecast of the workforce that would be needed to build or achieve our product as well as predict its impact on the field. Secondly, we were instructed to give two undergraduate or graduate degrees that directly relates to our Technical Application. Then, finally, we were to develope a new idea for a degree program that would that would emerge, given our advancement. Component 3 was accomplished mainly by Clark W., our e-mail and communications director. |
