The year is 2090, the world has grown steadily darker and more deadly since the golden age of the last century. Does anyone every recognize a golden age until it is gone? The worlds resources are dwindling, over population is a problem of epidemic proportions, governments have collapsed or teeter on the brink of collapse. Dozens of bush fire wars are going on every year, with more constantly springing up.

While governments might be losing power, corporations have stepped up. New megacorprations have stepped into the power vacuum left by the governments, as a result they often exceed many governments national gross. They grow in power and size, as well as in ambition, some have even contracted out city organizations, such as the police and fire department. Though with the growing strain on the economy few cities or governments can properly fund such civil services and while corporations more and more are taking up the slack. They most often focus in area's that are of interest to them only.

The rich get richer and the poor get poorer, this has never been more true than it is today. With many civil aids completely shut down, the average person either gets a good job with a corporation or learns to fend for themselves more and more.
