  • tongs or wooden spoon to hold the wipes or toiletpaper
  • deodorant

  • houseshoes or booties
  • comb or brush
  • hair scrunchies or scarf
  • tampons or maxi pads w/wings
  • undies
  • loose clothes to wear home

  • phone book to update friends and family
  • small photo album for pics of loved ones

Comfort Items
  • ice packs(the refreezable kind)
  • heating pads
  • PILLOWS PILLOWS PILLOWS!!
  • Wedge pillow for sleeping upright or recliner
  • Bottled water or juice
  • Cane for getting out of chairs, etc.
Grocery List
    Liquid stage
  • Bottled water- some say tap has a funny taste after surgery
  • Diet Snapple
  • sugar free popsicles
  • sf jello
  • Crystal Light
  • sf Kool Aid
  • sf Tang
  • 100% apple juice, no sugar added
  • sf hot chocolate
  • caffeine free tea
  • large variety of broth
  • large variety of brothy soups: vegetable, miso, wonton, chicken noodle, etc.
  • Silk's Vanilla Soy Milk and mix it with Designer Whey Protein Powder in Chocolate
    Pureed/Soft Food Stage
  • low fat/fat free cottage cheese
  • lf/ff yogurt (no chunks)
  • string cheese
  • reduced fat crackers
  • eggs
  • tofu
  • refried beans
  • lentil, split pea, black bean soups miso or egg drop soup
  • meats that are soft & moist- fresh or canned (not bbq or fried!): tuna, chicken , turkey, fish
  • sf/ff pudding

  • a small strainer for soups with solids
