Welcome

This site documents the building of our Wharram Tiki 30 "Nok Talay".

We created this site for our families, friends and Wharram enthusiasts around the world to follow the progress of our dream. We started building in March 2002 and launched in August 2002.  Seascape owner,  Guenther Nutt, the builder in Phuket, did a fantastic job and to quote James Wharram himself "Built the sweetest most beautiful" Tiki 30 in just 5 months. Guenther suggested various modifications and additions to the design, all of which have turned out great.

Our maiden voyage was the delivery from Phuket to Koh Phangan via Singapore and the east coast Malaysian Islands. Nok Talay performed brilliantly, sailing at an average speed of around 5 knots and easily coping with 40 knot storms where we raced along, triple reefed, at over 14 knots!

If you want a professionally built Wharram go and see Guenther in Phuket.

Nok Talay is now finished and has been exploring the Samui archipelago putting smiles on the faces of all who sail in her.
