"If music be the food of love, play on;
Give me excess of it, that, surfeiting,
The appetite may sicken, and so die.
That strain again! it had a dying fall:
O, it came o'er my ear like the sweet sound
That breathes upon a bank of violets,
Stealing and giving odour!
"

[William Shakespeare "Twelfth Night", Act 1 scene 1]

You say music and I think of metal, of hard rock, of 80's so-called "hair bands" that first got me into music (hadn't it been for Europe!! ;o))...but I also think of classical music and Beethoven in particular, of Loreena McKennitt, of some alternative...
But there's no denying it! I grew up listening to heavy music and I'll keep on being a metal head despite the years passing by! Metal gives me energy and calms me down, it helps me vent when I am angry, it cheers me up, it prevents me from losing my mind...and much more.
