The Trinity Delusion An examination of the doctrine of the Trinity

You Were Warned

"They will exploit you with well turned words." - Peter

We were warned by Jesus and his Apostles. There will be many false prophets and we are to be on our guard. "Beware!" They are wolves yet they are dressed in sheep's clothing. They have the appearance of a true disciple but they are not. They have a form of godliness but deny the power thereof. They are ever learning but never coming to the knowledge of the truth. They do not wake up in the morning thinking they will set out to deceive. They are already self deceived men, men who have deceived themselves into believing that their lie is the truth. They have exchanged the truth of God for a lie. Where is your treasure?

"Where your treasure is, there your heart will also be." - Jesus

Peter explained that false prophets arose among Israel and in the same way their will be false prophets among us. The false prophets arise among the people of God not somewhere else. Peter also tells that these men will exploit the people of God by well turned words. In other words, they will use clever language trickery and semantic illusions to deceive others. Paul was in tears because he knew that after his death these wolves would come in and not spare the flock. He explains these false prophets appear as angels of light but are really servants of Satan.

Notice how Paul explains that these false prophets will be leaders who arise among the true disciples of Jesus in order to deceive them and lead them astray.

Be on guard for yourselves and for all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you OverseersS, to Shepherd the church of the Lord which He purchased with His own blood. I know that after my departure savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock and from among your own selves men will arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away the disciples after them. Therefore be on the alert, remembering that night and day for a period of three years I did not cease to admonish each one with tears. Acts 20:28-31.

Jesus and his Apostles gave us these warnings not because these false prophets came along with a false teacher sign painted on their foreheads. They warned us because they have the appearance of a Lamb to the true flock but inwardly they are truly Wolves. Because of these warnings, we would have to be pridefully stupid to suppose that these deceptions will not be very effective and will be easy to spot. Beware and be on guard as Jesus instructed. And remember this: all the deceived people sitting in the church of a false prophet are being taught that it is everyone else who is deceived. That could be YOU. If you refuse to entertain the possibility that you might be deceived, and you are deceived, there is no possibility that you will ever discover that you are deceived. We must be wary and cautious and careful to never join these workers of deceit in their craftiness. Use your head! Listen to the Lord and follow the Spirit of Jesus.

But I am afraid that, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, your minds will be led astray from the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ. For if one comes and preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted, you bear this beautifully.... For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. No wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. Therefore it is not surprising if his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works.
(2 Corinthians 11).
