The Trinity Delusion An examination of the doctrine of the Trinity

The Million Dollar Question

In the Bible, there are many, many verses where God is identified as a singular "Who,", "I," "Me," "He," and "Him" where He is described by His prophets, or He is describing Himself, exclusively, as the one true God and there is no other besides Him alone. Who, specifically, are these verses identifying? When God's prophets are referring to this identity as "He" and "Him" or singular "You," who specifically are they identifying? And when this identity is Himself speaking, who is it exactly who is speaking? Some of these are listed below. These verses indicate that this identity is alone the only identity who is the true God and all other identities are excluded.

Many Trinitarians will be surprised to discover that this identity is positively and decisively identified in the Bible, in many and various ways, as God the Father. And since it is God the Father, all others are excluded.

You shall not worship any other god, for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God. (Exodus 34:14).

To you it was shown that you might know that the LORD, He is God; there is no other besides Him....Know therefore today, and take it to your heart, that the LORD, He is God in heaven above and on the earth below; there is no other. (Deuteromy 4:35,39).

Do you thus repay the LORD, O foolish and unwise people? Is not He your Father who has bought you?... Then He said... 'See now that I, I am He, And there is no God besides Me.' (Deuteronomy 32:6,20,39).

I will be a father to him and he will be a son to Me.... You are great, O Lord GOD; for there is none like You, and there is no God besides You. (2 Samuel 7:14,22).

For who is God, besides the LORD ? And who is a rock, besides our God? (2 Samuel 22:32).

For who is God, but the LORD ? And who is a rock, except our God, (Psalm 18:31).

When he returned to the man of God with all his company, and came and stood before him, he said, "Behold now, I know that there is no God in all the earth, but in Israel; so please take a present from your servant now." (2 Kings 5:15).

For who in the skies is comparable to the LORD ? Who among the sons of the mighty is like the LORD, 7 A God greatly feared in the council of the holy ones, And awesome above all those who are around Him? 8 O LORD God of hosts, who is like You, O mighty LORD ?.... He will cry to Me, `You are my Father, My God, and the rock of my salvation.' 27 "I also shall make him My firstborn, The highest of the kings of the earth. 28 "My lovingkindness I will keep for him forever, And My covenant shall be confirmed to him. 29 "So I will establish his descendants forever And his throne as the days of heaven. (Psalm 89).

Now, O LORD our God, deliver us from his hand that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that You alone, LORD, are God." (Isaiah 37:20).

You are My witnesses," declares the LORD, "And My servant whom I have chosen, So that you may know and believe Me And understand that I am He. Before Me there was no God formed, And there will be none after Me. 11 "I, even I, am the LORD, And there is no savior besides Me. (Isaiah 43:10-11).

Thus says the LORD, the King of Israel and his Redeemer, the LORD of hosts: `I am the first and I am the last, And there is no God besides Me. 7 `Who is like Me? Let him proclaim and declare it; Yes, let him recount it to Me in order, From the time that I established the ancient nation. And let them declare to them the things that are coming And the events that are going to take place. 8 `Do not tremble and do not be afraid; Have I not long since announced it to you and declared it? And you are My witnesses. Is there any God besides Me, Or is there any other Rock? I know of none.' "....Thus says the LORD, your Redeemer, and the one who formed you from the womb, "I, the LORD, am the maker of all things, Stretching out the heavens by Myself And spreading out the earth all alone (Isaiah 44:6-8,24).

I am the LORD, and there is no other; Besides Me there is no God. That men may know from the rising to the setting of the sun That there is no one besides Me. I am the LORD, and there is no other, 7 The One forming light and creating darkness, Causing well-being and creating calamity; I am the LORD who does all these...It is I who made the earth, and created man upon it. I stretched out the heavens with My hands. And I ordained all their host...Surely, God is with you, and there is none else, No other God.'... For thus says the LORD, who created the heavens (He is the God who formed the earth and made it, He established it and did not create it a waste place, but formed it to be inhabited), "I am the LORD, and there is none else.... Who has announced this from of old? Who has long since declared it? Is it not I, the LORD ? And there is no other God besides Me, A righteous God and a Savior; There is none except Me. 22 "Turn to Me and be saved, all the ends of the earth; For I am God, and there is no other. 23 "I have sworn by Myself, The word has gone forth from My mouth in righteousness And will not turn back, That to Me every knee will bow, every tongue will swear allegiance. (Isaiah 45:5-7, 12, 18, 21-22).

For I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is no one like Me, 10 Declaring the end from the beginning, And from ancient times things which have not been done, Saying, `My purpose will be established, And I will accomplish all My good pleasure' (Isaiah 46:9-10).

But the LORD is the true God; He is the living God and the everlasting King. (Jeremiah 10:10).

Thus you will know that I am in the midst of Israel, And that I am the LORD your God, And there is no other. (Joel 2:27).
