The word "Gehenna" is specifically mentioned 12 times in the New Testament Writings, 7 of those 12 instances are in Matthew's Gospel. All occurrences of Gehenna occur in the Synoptic Gospels and the book of James (which has a flavour very similar to the Synoptic gospels). Paul wrote 13 of the 27 New Testament books and never mentions Gehenna even once.
