Career Day

As I was looking through my massive picture archive on my personal computer, I found a picture that struck me as funny. Still in giggle-fits over the caption my mind put on that picture, I continued on through the archive and noticed that the Men of the Enterprise (I.E. The Big Three; "JT" Kirk, Spock, and McCoy; etc.) tend to dress up a lot. So...Career Day was born.

These pictures are not in chronological order.

New pictures will be added as I find them.

Bread and Circuses: Spock and McCoy take on a part-time job as gladiators.

City on the Edge of Forever: JT and Spock play the parts of two homeless, penniless men in 1930. (Hey, wait a minute...)

Errand of Mercy: JT and Spock dress as Organian merchants to escape the Klingon occupation of Organia. ("We are but simple travelers...")

The Enterprise Incident: JT is surgically altered to appear to be a Romulan, complete with stolen uniform. (I wonder how he got the uniform off of that Romulan hostage? "You! Strip!")

The Gamesters of Triskelion: JT is a slave (yeah, right!), and discards his shirt in favor of a black "training harness" and a collar with red tri-ads. (Of course, the fact that the shirt was only a little bit of rags after he was whipped makes a little impact on that decision...)

The Squire of Gothos: JT and Sulu spend some time as waxworks figures. (No, I'm serious! They do!)

The Paradise Syndrome: JT suffers from amnesia and thinks he's an Indian god. (Come on JT, you aren't THAT powerful!)

Mirror, Mirror: JT et.al. wear some stylish evil outfits, complete with gold sashes. JT gets a neat gold vest, and Spock gets a goatee. McCoy also becomes an engineer for a day, while Sulu becomes a Gestapo-like redshirt. (What's not to love?)

Patterns of Force: Spock and JT alternately dress like average civilians and Nazis of several varieties. McCoy joins in later as a Nazi colonel.

A Piece of the Action: JT "Kiok" turns out to be a pool shark, a card shark, AND a gangster! Along with his partner-in-crime, "Spocko" of course, who apparently becomes a radio DJ with his partner, "Sawbones." (Well, who'da thunk it?)

Plato's Stepchildren: JT and Spock, under telekinetic control of the Platonians, run around as ancient Greeks (or Romans, depending on who you think fits best) for much of this episode. Uhura and Chapel join in later.

A Private Little War: JT and McCoy dress as Neuralite hill people, in order to spy on the villagers and find out if the Klingons are helping them construct ancient flintlocks such as the one that Spock was shot by.

Assignment Earth: Spock becomes one of those evil, cat-keeping villans. ("Yes, my kitty...")

Spectre of the Gun: JT, McCoy, Spock, Scotty, and Chekov decide to visit the O.K. Corral in Tombstone, Arizona. (Here's a hint...DON'T go there as the Clantons!)

This Side of Paradise: Spock wears some odd colony clothes while he acts rather illogically, hanging from trees upside-down and decking his captain, for example.

The Trouble With Tribbles: This one is actually a tribble, pretending to be coffee. JT is obviously not amused.

Turnabout Intruder: JT involuntarily becomes a woman. Unfortunately, no one believes him (her?).

What Are Little Girls Made Of?: JT gets abducted by androids and spends most of the episode in some odd uniform-like clothing, while a Kirk android walks around in his Enterprise uniform.

Space Seed: Khan dresses up as a redshirt. (Idiot. No wonder he died!)

Return of the Archons: Kirk, Spock, McCoy, and several other Enterprise crewmen beam down to a planet and attempt to blend in. Later, Kirk and Spock must steal robes from two Enforcers in order to gain access to a secret area.

The Magicks of Megas-Tu: In this animated episode, JT gets to throw lightning bolts with his hands, so I suppose this could be him as a magician or something. (Eh well!)

Yesteryear: In another animated episode, Spock dresses as a Vulcan traveler and ends up posing as his own cousin.

The Ambergris Element: JT and Spock are transformed into fish-people. (This doesn't quite count as a costume, since they were actually mutated to these forms, but who cares? Not me!)

Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home: Kirk and Spock wander the streets of San Fransisco in 1986. Spock goes with the hippie look, complete with headband. McCoy wears some odd civvies.
