1911, in Caracas, Venezuela, a portrait

Spanish origin, co-founder and owner of the Daily News Paper “El Universal”
in Caracas, Venezuela. He married Maria Olivero

children, of whom one daughter, Maria
Josefina VIGAS, born Oct 20, 1920 in Caracas, later a teacher in
French, and who married on
Sept 30, 1939, in Le Havre, France, Dr
Pierre Emile THIBAULT, born in Paris Aug 3, 1910, a French medical
doctor. Maria

grand-grand son of a “Caporal CAILLAUD” of the Napoleon Army, was several years
a corporal in the French colonial army in Morocco at the end of the 19th
and beginning of the 20th century. After his military service, he
opened, in an
old house which is still there, the “Café de la
Comedie” on the central square of Ruffec. He became later
a trader in Paris where he married Jeanne
Celestine BROUST, the daughter of a trader colleague. Jules Pierre and
Jeanne had three children, the eldest, a girl, Yvonne who married Lucien Gouy,
a dentist colleague of her brother Dr Pierre Emile
Thibault, and the youngest brother, Jacques Thibault,
a trader, photographed here beside his father Jules Pierre. Jules Pierre
and Jeanne are buried at the “Cimetiere du Pere Lachaise” in Paris, in a tomb
common to the THIBAULT and BROUST families.
Dr
Pierre E Thibault, wrote his medical
thesis at the “Faculte de Medecine de Paris” in 1935 about “Les accidents
infectieux d´origine dentaire chez les syphilitiques”. He was appointed as
a “Medecin Capitaine de la Marine Marchande”, and he is photographed here
aboard his ship, the MS LAFAYETTE, and here beside
a visiting American Indian chief in the harbour of New York. He sailed from
Le Havre, France, to the Americas, North Africa, and the Middle-East during
most of the second half of the thirties.
Dr
Pierre E Thibault and Maria Josefina Vigas

sons, Pierre Andre
THIBAULT, a French journalist, born Oct 10, 1939 in Le Havre,
France, and Jose Maria
