SPECIAL NOTICE: DUE TO PROBLEMS WITH MY EMAIL ANY QUESTIONS SENT TO ME TWO MONTHS FROM OCTOBER 4TH HAVE NOT REACHED ME! BUT THE PROBLEM HAS BEEN FIXED SO FEEL FREE TO SUBMIT QUESTIONS! This site is deticated in truth to all you computer newbies who need help out there. If anyone out there needs help, please submit your questions to the email address located underneath the counter and I will be sure to post it and it's answer on this site below. P.s.= I also help people with HTML problems. Q.)How can I make my computer run faser? A.)Well I'd suggest you purchess more ram. However, if you don't have $200 dollers lying around then I would suggest you run a Disk defragmenter. A disk defragmenter is a program the defragments your Disk so that your computer runs faster and more efficently. Q.)What is ram? A.)Well, let me try to explain it in lamen terms. Imagine a fish bowl that is right next to a 9 by 12 inch cake pan. Now imagine that the fish bowl is full of water. The fish bowl represents your computer, the water represents all the data stored in your computer, and the cake pan represents your desk top. Now imagine that there's a hole in the side of your fish bowl that is the size of a quarter and begin poaring the water into the cake pan. Notice how long it takes for the water to fill the cake pan? Thats about the same for data getting onto your desk top. The diameter of the hole represents the ram. The bigger the hole, the faster the water can reach the cake pan. The More ram you have, the quicker the data will be desplayed on your desk top. Q.)Everytime I try to upload an image onto the internet it won't let me. Am I doing something wrong? A.)Well, more than likely your not saving your pictures in the right format. Usually when you save a picture it's saved as a .Bmp or .dib. When your saving your file under your desired title, right below the File name their's another option you can click that says "Save as type:" Click it then save it as a .Jpg or .Jpeg. Then you can upload it to the net. ^^ Q.)How can I tell how much memory I've used? A.)Go to your desktop then click "My Computer". Once your in side click "Local Drive" and Click on properties. It should show you a graph and text telling you how much memory you've used and how much you have left. Q.) I have a 15 year old son who is on the computer 24 hours a day (Or so it seems) are there any health risks I should be aware of? A.) Funny you should ask. Yes, there are a few health risks, mostly concerning eye sight. First you should know that i'm a teenager and not a docter, so if you want really accurate advise i'd ask a specialist. Anyway here's the thing with computers, spending time on them is fun and safe so don't get all freaked out when I tell you this. If your an exsessive computer user you should consider that when stareing at your computer screen; your stareing into low radiation. Sometimes, if you stare at the screen too long the radiation can mess with your eyes also causeing mild head achs. Now usually your vision gets a little fuzzy, but don't worry. Spending 3 o 4 days off the computer clears that right up. Other times you have to get glasses. Just watch the amount of time spent on computers and try not to become too obssesive. Another problem that sometimes accures is carpotunnels. Carpotunnels is when you spend too much time typing. Your wrists become inflamed and you have to wear braces on them for as long as your physical theripist proscribes. There are a lot of computer related ilness out there, but these are the two that are most frequent. Q.)what is Css? A.) Css Stands for "Cross site scripting (also known as XSS)" Now i'm not too familyer with CSS thow I have herd the term used by various hackers and I also came accross the term while reading about a HEX program. To better understand CSS I found a website that explains it and this is what it said, "Cross site scripting (also known as XSS) occurs when a web application gathers malicious data from a user. The data is usually gathered in the form of a hyperlink which contains malicious content within it. The user will most likely click on this link from another website, web board, email, or from an instant message. Usually the attacker will encode the malicious portion of the link to the site in HEX (or other encoding methods) so the request is less suspicious looking to the user when clicked on. After the data is collected by the web application, it creates an output page for the user containing the malicious data that was originally sent to it, but in a manner to make it appear as valid content from the website." I hope this helps you to better understand CSS.
