Little did I know that this day would be one I would never forget. I understood that an aurora show this far south was rare. A good friend of mine and I had the dream of seeing one from Houston, Texas. I had no idea that the dream would come true.

My friend Mark was curious to how often the Houston area and other southern areas actually have the chance to see the aurora. His primary findings are that, though they are rare they occurred more often that previously thought. He has since seen another aurora from the Houston area. So keep your eyes open. . .
